5 Reasons People Stay Broke

5 Reasons People Stay Broke

As a financial professional, I have heard all of the reasons (and excuses :)) when it comes to someone choosing not to achieve their financial goals and improve their current situation. In fact, here are the 5 most commons reasons I hear from people:

Reason #1: I don't need a financial plan.

I agree with you, you do not need a financial plan... but you should want one! Studies have shown that people who create a well-defined plan that is measurable and attainable have a much higher success rate of achieving what they want as opposed to people without a plan.

Reason #2: I don't have any money

Sometimes people get the mistaken idea that financial professionals are only for rich people. That's not true, and I believe I can help you because no matter where you are at today in your financial journey, our program puts you on a clear path for building wealth and discovering financial independence. Oh, and by the way, we do not have minimum investment requirements like many others do. We will help anyone that's willing to put in the work.

Reason #3: I don't have time

Most people go through life putting off planning for retirement. I procrastinate on a lot of things too - cutting my lawn, washing my car, cleaning my house - but I would never procrastinate with financial planning. I've seen too many times what can happen when people do ... living off of social security (which I consider an allowance), staying home instead of traveling, working instead of enjoying retirement. You get the point, it's not good.

Reason #4: I have no desire

I completely understand that financial planning is near the bottom of your 'wants' list, but you probably want a lot of things that a good financial plan makes possible. For instance, do you want to travel more, update the kitchen in your house, or buy that house on the beach?

Reason #5: I don't trust anyone to manage my money

I wouldn't trust just anyone with my money either. That's why I've made it a point to offer a complementary 30-minute initial consultation that allows us to get to know each other. I will also walk you through our program, how we operate, how we help individuals and families, and show you how it can be implemented in your life to achieve great things. At the end of it, if you still don't feel right about working with me then no hard feelings.

Whatever the reason (or excuse) that is holding you back from planning for your financial future, ask yourself this: what are the real-life consequences when not taking action. For most people it's not a pretty picture.

The good news is I am here to guide you through it all. However, only YOU can decide when you will take that first step.

Fortunately, the first step is easy. All you have to do is schedule a phone or web meeting with us by going to: https://calendly.com/rerogers; or simply by giving us a call. I told you that would be easy!
